When facilitating, I feel comfortable with staff and administrators using whatever means they prefer to learn and engage. This might mean simply listening, typing notes, writing notes, drawing, posting on social media, etc. I was told during the session that it immediately put people at ease and reduced stress/anxiety.
I received an email after our morning session from one of the attendees that shared, “I really enjoyed the session today. Thought I’d share a copy of my notes with you since you were so accepting of us working in whatever mode engaged us best (attached).”
I am in awe of what WE can learn about others when we “get out of their way” and let them learn in their way. How do you help students discover the ways in which they learn best?
