I’ve never been good with keeping resolutions. Last year, my dear friend Tracey Holland introduced me to Power Words. I selected “Balance” as my word for 2017. As I reflect on decisions I’ve made as well as where I placed my time and energy, I am not sure I did a great job of finding balance day-to-day. However, I do think that over the course of the year, I have been able to let go of certain things that have allowed (and will allow) me to find more of a balance in my life. And that, I consider improvement!
For 2018, I am moving forward with PURPOSEFUL. Am I making choices and decision ONLY after deep thought as opposed to an immediate “yes”? Am I carefully weighing all possible outcomes and examining whether the outcome will add value or add stress?
I hope to keep “PURPOSEFUL” in mind as I am approached with job opportunities and as I determine what to eat, how to spend my time, and what to do with my money. And, as I watch my boys grow, I want to continually remember to be present and “on purpose” with our sacred time together as they grow into their own and become more independent .
What is your Power Word for 2018?
